• A Sudanese man from an ancient and historical family that was associated with Sudan and its history, the family that we always find when mentioning the Omdurman community and the Omdurman market in particular.
• The late Hajj Muhammad Ahmad al-Bereir, the dean of the family of Muhammad Ahmad al-Bereir and the grandfather of Sauod is one of the most ancient merchants in the Omdurman market historically and we can say that Among the few traders, they established the current Omdurman market and started in it organized trade that includes import and export at that time.

• El Bereir family was (and still is) one of the flags and pride of Sudanese society, and it is not surprising that all children and grandchildren of the El Bereir family have been associated with the economy from trade and industry and even agriculture.
• It is not surprising because their genes are related to this activity and are proud of that.
  Saoud is one of the branches of this ancient family.
• His father, the late Haj Mamoun Muhammad Ahmad Al-Barir, is one of the oldest sons of Muhammad Ahmad Al-Barir and Mamoun is one of the first to stick to it from his children until he drank more of the hidden nectar of trade.

• Mamoun was historically ahead of his time in his business thought.
• He was the first to start the manufacture of packaging (Al Bahar tea).
• He was a well-known source or supplier, and he and his brother Salah Al-Bereir were exporting meat to Zaire (Al-Konfu) at the time when Sudan did not know the export of these goods.
• They have renewed major economic activities ” the detergent industry, food industry and general trade.

• Like the wise man once said,  “This cub is from that lion”  .. So a clear industrial and commercial intelligence appeared in Saoud,  runs in his blood, he was not just helping, he added an innovative idea for his father, when  still at the age of twenty or a little younger.
• He has a good spirit stemming from ancient and ethical origins, as it was characterized by his accepted opinion in all economic fields in Sudan and acceptance by all economic and commercial community.
• He had no interest other than work, economics, industrial and commercial development.
• He was great despite his young age in managing all this with wisdom and balance
• Simply,  you will not find in the business community in Sudan who does not like Saoud Al-Bereir, or who does not listen to him, or takes his opinion, despite the fact that he was young among the giants in these areas.
• What we mentioned is what qualified him to assume a position in the leadership of the various economic chambers, and now he qualified to be the president of the Employers Union, succeeding the late pioneer, Mr. Ezz El Din El Sayed.

Saoud succeeded with his father in establishing: –

• The largest manufacturer of soap and detergents so far, and they have the largest share in the market in this industry undisputedly.
• Saoud developed the food industry, especially halva and other sweets, and then switched to soft drinks and juice.
• Halva products are still the leading and developed in the market. 
• The share of Al Rawda for Halva Factory represents more than 50% of the activity of this product in the Sudanese market.
• The country at that time was crowded with open imports.
• Saoud was a pioneer in various imports. At that time, until the eighties with his father and brothers, he was one of the largest suppliers of the Sudanese market for various food and non-food commodities.
• Saoud did not lose sight of agricultural, real estate and other activities.
